Complaints and reportingการร้องเรียนและการรายงาน
How we handle reports, removal requests, appeals and complaints.เราจัดการการรายงาน คำขอให้ลบ การอุทธรณ์ และข้อร้องเรียนอย่างไร
Version 2, in force from 13 October 2026ฉบับที่ 2 มีผลตั้งแต่วันที่ 13 ตุลาคม 2569
In short
- Report a message, a person or a call in the app, or email patryk@btlabs.co.uk, with or without an account.
- A person reviews every report, within the target times below.
- If we act on content or an account, we say why, and anyone affected can appeal.
- If someone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number first.
Who handles reports
The director of BT LABS LTD reviews every report, appeal and complaint, and is accountable for compliance with the UK Online Safety Act 2023. No decision is automated. Users and authorities can write to patryk@btlabs.co.uk in English or Thai.
How to report
In the app: press and hold a message, or tap Report in the chat header (a person) or on the call summary (a call). Choose a category and add a note. We see the reported messages as you saw them.
- Scam or money request
- Harassment or threats
- Sexual content
- Child safety
- Intimate image shared without consent
- Impersonation
- Offensive or harmful AI translation
- Illegal content
- Other
By email, including notices under Article 16 of the EU Digital Services Act, say why the content is illegal or breaks the Acceptable use rules, where it is (display name, date and time, screenshot or text), your name and email (optional for child abuse material), and that you believe the notice is accurate and complete. We confirm receipt and tell you our decision.
Intimate images shared without consent
We remove an intimate image of you shared without consent, including an AI fake, and known copies, within 48 hours of a valid request (US TAKE IT DOWN Act). Report it in the app, or email "Removal request" with your typed full name as signature, the account's display name, the date and a description, a good-faith statement that you did not consent, and your contact details. Do not send the image. Take It Down (if you were under 18) and StopNCII.org help stop it spreading elsewhere.
Child safety, threats and authorities
We remove child sexual abuse material immediately, close the account, keep what the law requires, and report it to the National Crime Agency (UK), NCMEC (US) or the competent authority. Do not forward or download it. We close any account of someone under 18. We pass threats to life or safety to the police at once (including under Article 18 of the EU Digital Services Act).
We check that requests from police, courts and regulators are genuine and lawful, record them and act promptly, including notices under Thailand's Computer Crime Act B.E. 2550 (2007), as amended, and Thai scam-account orders. We tell the user affected unless the law forbids it.
Decisions and appeals
Under our Terms and the law, we take no action, remove messages (shown as "Removed by JaiTalk" to both people), or suspend or close an account. Unless the law or someone's safety prevents it, we tell the person affected, in the app and by email where we can, what we did and whether it is permanent, the facts, the rule or law, that a person decided, and how to appeal. The reporter is told the outcome.
Anyone affected, including the person who reported, can appeal within 6 months by replying or emailing "Appeal". A fresh review decides; if we were wrong, we reverse it and restore what we can. In the EU you can also complain to your Digital Services Coordinator (Article 53, Digital Services Act) or go to court.
Personal data
Email "Privacy complaint", or complain at any time to the UK Information Commission (formerly the ICO) at ico.org.uk, your EU data protection authority or Thailand's PDPC. Data requests: see the Privacy Notice. US residents can appeal a refused request, then contact their state attorney general.
Other complaints
Email us what happened and what you want. We do not use an alternative dispute resolution scheme; consumers keep their right to go to court where they live. You can also tell Ofcom about safety on JaiTalk; it does not resolve individual complaints.
